Waiting for a sample block to be delivered for examination is now a thing of the past.
SPOT Imaging’s patented BlocDoc technology delivers two digital images of the cut block. The first image is of the cut surface, allowing comparison with the glass slide and WSI. The second image allows a view below the surface to reveal non-imaged tissue.
BlocDoc gives the Pathologist the confidence that they’re viewing the whole specimen.
Pathology societies around the world have recognized that tissue maybe missing from the final slide or WSI image impacting the diagnosis made. As a result, accreditation checklists have been updated to include a requirement for a tissue tracking and review process.
